In order to ensure that we will not forget as time passes how we, the Iraqis, were living in continuous oppression, humiliation, and fear.
In order to ensure that we will not forget how the tyrant Saddam was killing, torturing, and exiling the people of our country as he, the sadistic animal, likes.
In order that we always remember that how any wrong simple word could lead us to the dark torture rooms to suffer there the most brutal torture types like extracting eyes and nails. Saddam and his brutal regime were professionals at, and inventors of, such torture, including the use of electrical shock, cutting of the tongue and other organs, breaking the arms, and many other types of torture.
All of us saw the horrible scenes of torture that the local Iraqi TV showed in the second anniversary of the fall of Saddam.
In order that those scenes stay always in our memory and in front of our eyes and to remember always that even we could not dream that we can be saved from that oppression and tyranny.
It is most important that we do not forget the forces of good & freedom that liberated us from that devil Saddam, while our neighbors and friends let us down and supported the tyrant. It is equally important that we not forget the favor of the liberators, and that we ensure no one thinks that we, the Iraqis,are ungrateful people.
For all the above we(Iraqis) would like to express our sincere gratitude to the American nation , their armed forces and to their president for making the courageous decision to liberate Iraq from its weapon of mass destruction Saddam and his regime
