Approve dentist recruitment for Athy HSE dental clinic

Today sees the closure of Athy HSE dental clinic. The students from the 15 or so school that attend Athy will no longer have access to dental care under the school dental scheme. The funding is available to pay a dentist, however, due to the recruitment ban a new dentist can't be employed. We are therefore asking the minister for health to endure at the next committee meeting the principal dental officer for Kildare/west Wicklow be given permission to recruit a dentist for Athy and re-open the clinic.
