Axe Every Bloody Cheap Made Quiz Programme on BBC-1, BBC-2 and ITV-1 Excluding Call My Bluff, Mastermind, A Question of Sport and University Challenge

We the undersigned request that every bloody cheap made quiz programme on BBC-1, BBC-2 and ITV-1 be axed altogether excluding Call My Bluff, Mastermind, A Question of Sport and University Challenge.

The trouble with quiz programmes is you have got to have a format that works from the word go as otherwise you are finished before your started no matter who the presenter is. Television bosses always think by having a certain person presenting a quiz show will automatically make viewers watch it. It doesn't work like that. The format of a quiz programme is the most important not the presenter. Quiz masters only make quiz shows their own after presenting them for such a long period of time. There have being some terrible quiz shows over the last ten years with diabolical formats and none of them are a patch on the old quiz programmes. The Weakest Link which is still on the air at present is a good example of a crap quiz the contestant who wins on a particular day might not have won fairly and squarely its just a load of nonsense. The Vault with first Melanie Sykes and then Gabby Logan is another example of a crap quiz with a crap format, Shafted with Robert Kilroy Silk only lasted 2 or 3 weeks before it was taken off air for good another load of trash, and worst of all Supermarket Sweep that has got to be the worst quiz programme I have ever seen. Reading BBC Ceefax and ITV Teletext is more entertaining than watching any of these tripes. Do you brightsparks who are in charge of the BBC and ITV ever think about watching programmes before you let them go on the air because it would be my first priority if I were the Director General of the BBC or Chief Executive of ITV. Start using your common sense more.
