Bharat (Pronounced as Bhaarat) is the original and oldest name of our country. Hindustan and India are the names given by invaders. All of the ancient Vedic, Jain and Buddhist literature unanimously support the name Bharat. In all the languages of Bharat, this country is called as Bharat only.
Bharat is the name of the country and it will be natural to call this country as Bharat only, in any language. We call England as England only. We call Pakistan as Pakistan only. Then why others should call Bharat as India or Hindustan?
So it is the time to ban the names India and Hindustan. It is an appeal to the President and Prime Minister of India and also to all the people of India.
It will take time to the Government to change the name. So it will take time to see just bharat on our currency notes, coins, postage stamps, government documents etc. Meanwhile, we the people of Bharat should start to use the name Bharat in all the languages. Start today using just Bharat everywhere.
