We the undersigned found the article by The Daily Mail, UK on 17th November 2001 about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) deeply offensive and very blasphemous.
Firstly the title of the article was disgusting and very disturbing.
Secondly it was very offensive that The Daily Mail displayed a picture of the Prophet (PBUH) when no such picture exists and that any attempted portrayal of the Prophet (PBUH) through pictures and images is deeply offensive to all Muslims all over the world.
We urge The Daily Mail in future to approach the relevant qualified members of the Muslim community if it wishes to write articles on Islam.
The whole article has outraged us and has caused anxiety and distress within our communities. We demand that The Daily Mail publish a written apology, apologising for the hurt and distress it has
