On Saturday May 22nd, Fixtures Man made his final appearance on the Sky Sports football entertainment programme 'Soccer Am' before being axed.
A previous viewer poll requested that Fixtures Man was to be saved.
The loss of Fixtures Man is sure to have the following effects on his thousands of adoring fans:
1. Hundreds, if not thousands of men and women will lose the enthusiasm to take up DIY tasks without the regular Saturday morning appearance of the DIY King.
2. Divorce rates will increase as women ditch their men for not putting up some shelving.
3. Children will seek alternative television programming in order to receive 'shout-outs' and 'waves' on national television.
4. The absence of Fixtures Man will cause great depression amongst the fans and cause them to wake up late on Saturday mornings, thus causing a huge drop in the Soccer AM viewing figures.
We would like to see the return of Fixtures Man to our screens as soon as possible for the good of the nation!
