This petition is to convince Clear Channel to re-evaluate their decision to change 101.1 FM's format. While many stations changed thier format over the past 34 years, Rock 101 stayed true to it's form. Playing great bands such as Metallica, Godsmack, Guns 'N' Roses, Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alice in Chains, and Velvet Revolver, having segments such as "The 420 break", "Mandatory Metallica", and "The Pit", and having lively DJ's such as Stevens & Pruitt, Wendy Miller, Walton & Johnson, The Boner, and Outlaw Dave, Rock 101 set the bar so high that the rock stations in Houston could not attempt to grasp it. We the undersigned would like to impress upon Clear Channel the importance of having a "true" rock station in the Houston area. Rock 101 not only kept rock alive, but helped local bands achieve their lifetime dreams of airing on a rock station. KEEP ROCK 'N' ROLL ALIVE! BRING BACK ROCK 101!

I haven't listened to the "new" 101 since Clear Channel killed my rock station. Way to alienate listeners. As if Houston doesn't already have enough Latino music stations. Bring back W&J and Outlaw Dave!

I really thought KLOL sucked. They would only play bands like Megadeth, Dio, Iron Maiden and some of the old school metal music when the bands came to town and then only if you were lucky. I am glad KLOL is gone. Maybe they will come back harder and heavi

I want my Rock -N- Roll back . When Van Halen releases there new album what station will play it? If there is no KLOL, And that should be the question that sums up the whole problem.
