For the three years that I have been a student at Yorktown High School, the only principal that I have known was Mr. John Sullivan. He brought so many things to this school and made sure that they kept running smoothly. Mr. Sullivan could always be heard on the P.A., complimenting some student, musician, artist, or athlete on their accomplishments at the latest competition, exposition, recital, or game.
As many of you know, Dr. Ralph Napolitano has taken it upon himself to suspend Mr. Sullivan from his job as principal for, as the letter to Mr. Sullivan stated, "[failing] to attend a meeting and complete staff evaluations". This, in my opinion, is no reason to suspend a principal who has done so much to better this school that anyone else would be envious of, not only the work that he has done, but envious of the school that he works in.
We hope that this petition, along with many started by parents throughout the school district, will bring Dr. Napolitano to his senses and show him just how many people care about Mr. Sullivan. We hope that this petition will help in the reinstatement of Mr. John Sullivan to the position of principal at Yorktown High School
