Bring Back Some Of The Quake 3 Seganet Servers

Quake 3 Arena, is one of the best games ever made. It has changed the gaming industry! ID Software knew what they were doing when they put this game out, and Sega backed them by distributing the game through there systems. The Dreamcast is a remarkable machine, in that it can still hold its own. It is a first of a kind. No other console game had online support. But, I am just echoing the words already spoken. There have been plenty reviews. Consider the following reviews when you have the time:

The timing of this letter is lacking, I know. But it seems nobody has stepped up to talk about this because theyre afraid too, or they dont know what to say. When Seganet went down, it was like somebody shot a hole in our hearts. I myself was on the very last server when it shut down, the Seganet Backbone server that is.
So the more important thing that I (well really everybody) would like to request, is that at least, one Dreamcast quake 3 server be left, or restored, if not just for Historic reference.
Even though the amount of Dreamcast players have dropped. There are still plenty that DO play Quake on the Dreamcast. Myself included. Also the ability for PC players to join the Sega server, even added to the amount of people that played on the Dreamcast Servers. No other gaming industry has done that; and so far Sega is the only one.
As do most things, it really comes down to money I guess But it shouldnt cost that much just have 1 or 2 servers of this game running! I pay Comcast 49 bucks a month for online gaming. I used to have a stand-alone machine (150 bucks in value, just a 233 P2 based system and a good video card) that could run 2 servers nicely for this game. Another thing to remember is that people still have the Dreamcast. That Dreamcast was built for online play. So once the Seganet servers went down, so did the value of the Dreamcast. What a big impact for just one game.
So I write this letter here and now, hoping that there can be some type of compromise. Even a small one you know? Example: The new and refurbished Quake 3 Seganet servers will only be up for 2 days every week Even a scenario like that would be GREAT!
Again thank you very much for reading this letter, and we hope something can be done before we lose one of the best online games in history!
