Bring back the Animals of Farthing Wood

The Animals of Farthing Wood was a fantastic show shown on the BBC in the early 1990's, and based on the books by Colin Dann. The BBC no longer run the show. It's a crying shame that such an outstanding series which had such great popularity for so long could so suddenly be forgotten by most of the world.

The simple fact this forum (http://www.w2k.co.uk/asp/fwforum) is kept so active by so many people is a testament to the effect this fantastic program and novel series can have on peoples hearts.

Farthing Wood is everything childrens TV today is lacking. Other than the BBC's dead horse floggings of the new basil brush or woody woodpecker cartoons Farthing Wood wasn't just another witless gag reel of unfunny and loud stunts. It was there for a purpose, it had an opinion, a strong and heartfelt message to put forward that forces us to take a serious look at how we treat the wild creatures we share our world with. That's the magic of Farthing Wood. A spark that, through it's sheer power to stay in peoples hearts, refuses to be forgotten even though the material world around it tries to make it so.

So, please bring back The Animals of Farthing Wood to our TV screens!
