Call for the Australian Government to abide by International Human Rights and Refugee conventions

The recent horrific accident that claimed the life of 350 innocentrefugees has displayed the Australian Governments blatent disregard forthe Universal Declaration for Human Rights adopted and proclaimed by theGeneral Assembly resolution 217 A(III) of 10 December 1948, in particularArticle 14 which states:
(1) Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylumfrom persecution.
In a time of world drama Pakistan and Iran have opened thier borders tomore then 2,000,000 refugees and counting, the Australian governmentrefuses to accept boat loads of a mere few hundred refugees - fleeingfrom the same governments we have condemmed as 'terrorists'.
As a Human I call for the Australian government to abide by InternationalLaw and basic human rights and treat the refugees as humans - in line withhuman rights.

Stop the Tragedy. Australia has to accept international law with regards to refugees. Saddam and his regime must be removed and indicted to prevent further tragedies. God bless the suffering people of Iraq.
