Cannon At Nationwide Arena

We, the fans of The Columbus Blue Jackets petition Nationwide Arena to install a cannon inside the arena. According to Fireworks Professionals Ltd, the best canon is with lastly white or colored dust, which is great for creating simulated explosions without the need to have real explosions. Care must be taken that the venue is suitable for this to make sure the dust drifts away from the audience(Firework Professionals). If we are truly the #1 fan experience then the fans should have a say of what is in the arena and what entertains us. According to the Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey HF Boards, a poll was conducted last summer about firing off a cannon after each goal in the Nationwide Arena. Among all of the voter 56.25 \% of the fans said, YES! Awesome idea. Union soldiers, 1 shot for each goal (Cannon Pole). A canon would make Nationwide Arenas #1 Fan Experience more worth while. We would then be #1 because we wouldn't be like every other team; we would be unique. This cannon could be located inside one of the Party Towers. These cannons could be run by Civil War re-enactors that do this for a living. They could also be set off by a chosen fan. They could be picked through a drawing or promotion at Nationwide Arena. Others have suggested that a device is built on the diamond view. There could be fake cannons that spew out dust, and project a loud cannon sound.

Other sports teams have similar entertainment at their events. For example, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a section of the stadium called the Buccaneer Cove. In this area they have eight cannons that celebrate Buccaneer touchdowns by releasing thundering cannon fire, smoke, confetti, mini-footballs and a variety of Buc merchandise into the stands. Also, Pyro and Propane flame fired on a wooden basketball court at a Florida Flames, NBA- NBDL league basketball game, at the Germain Arena Fort Myer Florida. The Calgary Flames, NHL team, have a new high tech scoreboard. When the team scores there is fire that comes out of the sides of the scoreboard and off the backs of the nets.

Nationwide Arena has participated in the Monster Truck Show for several years now. Each time there is an abundance amount of smoke, dirt, and fireworks. The WWE also comes into Nationwide and puts on a huge pyrotechnic show at Nationwide. Why should a cannon not be aloud?
