Time and time again viewers have been shocked and dismayed to find anime favorites such as Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing, Yu Yu Hakusho, and recently Rurouni Kenshin and Inuyasha abruptly removed from their lives. These shows were taken off the air with no prior warnings (sans Gundam Wing) and with no guarantees that they would return. Furthermore, these shows were most of the time only partially completed, and no explanations were given as to why they were being taken off of the air: were they going in for more dubbing, or was the decision to remove them made simply on a whim? Cartoon Network viewers are fast becoming dissatisfied with such inconsistent programming and ask that the following changes be made in whole or in part by the producers and managers of Cartoon Network:
Before removing programming, please give viewers at least one week's notice (in a commercials, perhaps) and post a statement up on cartoonnetwork.com in an easy-to-find area explaining why the show was taken off of the air and if it will return. One week is asked so that there is time for viewers to express their feelings to the channel's supervisors. Polls and numerous other information-gathering methods could be employed to allow fans to show how much they want the show to remain/be removed.
Perhaps even a show could be created or modified (such as Toonami) to allow viewers more control over the anime they watch by allowing them to choose the next show to be premiered and which show they would like taken off the most. These methods will help keep viewers more satisfied with the station's programming schedule.
