We, the undersigned, ask that FanFiction.Net change their policy on pieces containing musical lyrics. We ask that the rule, which currently reads If you did not write it, do not post it, be changed to If you use lyrics, they must be disclaimed, including the name of the artist and the name of the song. Violation of this rule would be reported as abuse and dealt with accordingly.

I absolutely agree. If someone does not know the song to which the writer is refering, they may assume it to be the original work of the author. This takes the credit away from the writer, singer, and producer of the song.
