Change the Early Childhood Health System in the Parramatta Council Areas

Something has to be done about the early childhood health system in the Parramatta City Council areas. Appointments are so backed up that there is a 3-5 week wait just to get a call back to book an appointment!
Parramatta City Council needs to realise that the first 3 months in a baby’s life is the hardest - for the child and the parents. It’s when Post-natal depression is at its highest and it’s also when the health of the baby is most fragile.
At the moment, the council has Early Childhood and Adult Mental Health in the same section and is dealt with by the same people - this has to change as it’s the main reason why there is such a back log! More nurses have to be hired to work solely for the Early Childhood Centres.
Please take 5 minutes to sign this petition so I can take it to the Health Minister and hopefully get the system changed so that every parent can feel comfortable knowing their children will seen at the appropriate ages and any questions they have will be answered before it’s too late.
