This petition is aimed at Nintendo, to change the way the Virtual Console (VC) system works on their latest home console; the Wii.
The problem with their current VC system is that it links the bought games to the physical hardware and not the person who bought the software. Therefore if anything happens to the hardware the VC games are lost. So because of this, selling the unit or replacing the unit means that you lose your VC games. If the unit is stolen you also lose all your VC games with no way of re downloading them without having to pay for the games again.
Through this petition I want to encourage Nintendo to change the way this system works allowing the VC games to be linked to a person not a piece of hardware.
By signing this petition you show you are against this system as well and want to show that a lot of their customers want to see a different system.
