childhood strokes are in the top ten deaths of children in the u.k. up to 500 children a year suffer a stroke,not all survive.the same amount of children a year are diagnosed with cancer,the solid organ cancer(brain tumors).there is a register that has been running for over 30 years for childhood cancers which has been vital for diagnosis,treatment,aftercare and support. there is not a register for childhood strokes.this needs to change.we need to monitor how many children and babies are having stroke,causes and outcome and the aftercare they receive.please sign and show your support.
