"Connect Four" on Xbox Live Arcade

We, the undersigned, do solemnly believe that it is in the best interest of videogamers around the world that Milton Bradley and Hasbro Interactive release a digital version of its classic best-selling game, Connect Four, on the digital distribution network known as Xbox Live. The vertical game of tic-tac-toe where you have to get four in a row is sure to sell like hotcakes (hotcakes!) on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Connect Four is a fun, fast-paced strategy game that millions of people around the world enjoy. In fact, it is a popular bar game in Argentina! The concept is simple and unhindered by any language or cultural barriers, and its gameplay is appealing to gamers of all ages.

A proper version of Connect Four should include the following features:

- High-definition resolutions, with normal-mapped checkers, and no jaggies
- Dolby 5.1 support that truly captures those sweet "clickety-clack" sounds
- Online leaderboards, to compare records with your friends
- "Channel 4" - a spectator mode allowing people from all over the world to watch the best Connect Four players in the world compete
- Pre-recorded taunts mapped to controller buttons, that should include "I won! Diagonally!", "One, two, three, four!", and "Pretty sneaky, sis!"

If Milton Bradley does not have its own team of software developers, I'm sure they would have their choice of many high-profile game companies knocking down their door for this opportunity. Bungie, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft all the manpower and technical know-how to bang this game out on their laptops while sitting on toilets during bathroom breaks.

The game should retail for 400 Marketplace points ($5 US). Based on my research, I predict Connect Four downloads close to the seven million mark by the end of FY2007. It's like printing money! The success of Connect Four would pave the way for other classic Milton Bradley games like Yahtzee, Perfection, Sorry, Life, Trouble, Battleship, Scrabble, Mystery Date, Clue, Stratego, and Hungry Hungry Hippos to receive a renewed life and inspire future generations of gamers.
