We, the residents of Coquina Cove, would like extended warranties on our homes, on the work carried out on them in 2008/09 due to water intrusion issues arising from faulty construction on the part of DR Horton.
We are also requesting documentation and transferable warranties that we can show to prospective buyers, should we decide to sell. Florida Law states that we have to disclose any previous water damage to our homes and we require documentary evidence from DR Horton to show that the issues were adequately remedied and the extended warranties will cover that work.
We require these warranties, in writing, before hurricane season 2009. Many of us have asked for this before but nothing has been forthcoming. DR Horton have had plenty of time to prepare for this documentation and therefore we are seeking an expedited response to this request.
