'Dazed and Confused' Ultimate Edition DVD petition for Universal

We really want to see Universal give some truly deserving movies the 'Ultimate Edition' DVD treatment. One of those is Richard Linklater's 'Dazed and Confused,' a hard-rock driven blast of a movie about a group of Texas kids on the last day of school in 1976. It's a full-blown cult classic and subject of many late night viewings and drinking games. On top of all that, it featured Ben Affleck, Joey Lauren Adams, Matthew McConaughey, and Adam Goldberg before they became the bigger stars they are today. It received a bare-bones disc back in 1998 that didn't do the flick justice for its fans and that's why we want to see it!

Here's a wishlist of special features:
- a remastered anamorphic widescreen video transfer
(to get rid of that grain and occasional washout)
- DTS or Dolby Digital 5.1 mixes, in addition to the original 2.0 Dolby mix
- commentary with director Richard Linklater
- any production features that existed at the time of the movie's release
- some kind of catch-up feature with the stars of the movie
(find and interview all the key cast members - ask them about the movie, its legacy and what it opened up for them)
- have Linklater go back to the original locations and show where it is and what it looks like now (the Moontower, the football stadium, the Emporium, etc.)
- a featurette on the classic cars featured in the film
- character bios (get them from the 'Dazed' book that was released)
- a soundtrack feature about all the music featured
- posters, advertisements, promotional materials
- 'Animated Anecdotes' about the movie
(as done for the Universal 'Bring It On' DVD)
- theatrical trailer
