On August 25, 1990 Jeffrey Hengehold met Linda Evers-Hoberg at a bar. When the bar closed, the two left together. A Security tape later showed Linda running into a gas station. The tape showed Hengehold running after her, catching her, and physically carrying her back to her car. Lindas car was found burned with her skeletal remains inside. Hengehold eventually confessed to killing her and setting the car on fire.
Hengehold has only served 18 years of his life sentence for the crime of arson and murder and is now up for parole on November 30, 2009. We believe that imprisonment cannot reform him and that society would be at great risk if he were to be released.
Our goal is to collect 20,000 signatures to present to the parole board by October, 2009. Rest assured, your name and address will only be seen by the parole board and not the felon.
We, the undersigned, STRONGLY OPPOSE a parole for Jeffrey Hengehold (A23730100) in November, 2009. Justice demands that he serve his sentence of life in prion for the murder of Linda Evers-Hoberg that he confessed to committing.
