DVD Release of the Batman: The Animated Series cartoon series

During its six year run (1992 - 1998) the animated series of Batman under the names of Batman: The Animated Series, The Adventures of Batman and Robin, and The New Batman Adventures garnered a large fan base and won many awards(22 Emmy nominations and 6 Emmy wins!).

But since this time, very few episodes have been available to the consumer in a form in which they can have the pleasure to view this excellent series at home. Now, many viewers no longer are able to watch the show on TV as the WB Kids Network and the Cartoon Channel have stopped airing the series in many (if not all) areas. We, the fans, are also very aware of the already commercially proven DVD format that has been used to reissue many TV series to the home market in a pristine and many times updated form. The DVD format allows for the high quality animation and the yet un-beaten audio of the Batman animated series' to be perfectly captured.

It is in light of these occurrences, and the love we have for this show, that we, the fans of Batman and the fans of animation petition to you, Warner Brothers Studio and DC Comics, to release the Batman animated series' on DVD.

In addition to our desire for this show to be placed on DVD, we also ask that a certain level of care is given to these DVD releases. We expect nothing but the best from you in archiving a show that you obviously put your best foot forward when creating. We have a list of requests for the release of these DVD's:
1. Place multiple episodes on each DVD, with the episodes in order.
2. Fill each disc so that obtaining all 109 episodes does not require a unwarranted monetary loss, nor a huge loss in shelf space. This will also drive the production cost down on your end, so it makes good business sense!
3. Include any 'making of' or similar documentaries that you have the rights to, along with story board stills, character development drawings, and cast and crew interviews pertaining to the episodes contained on the DVD.
4. Place the episodes in their originally created fashion(whether that be full-screen or wide screen(anamorphic))
5. Digitally re master, and if deemed acceptable by the original creators, create a surround mix of the impeccable audio track from the show.
6. (To those signing, if you have a feature you think should be included in this list before submission, place it in the appropriate field upon signing. I will go through and add any additions that I deem appropriate. All of these will be submitted to Warner Brothers and DC Comics with the list though, so please do not abuse this.)

As you can see, this list is not a list of unwarranted demands, but a list if demands that show how much we as fans love the show. We expect nothing but the best of DVD release for Batman from its creators.
