End The Life-threatening Hunger Strike at Clallam Bay

We demand that you take immediate action to end the life-threatening hunger strike in the IMU unit at Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC). As superintendent of CBCC it is your responsibility to respond to and remedy the very serious problems at your institution which have been described to you in detail by the inmates, their families and friends, and by numerous other concerned people in the previous petition (CBCC1) which you chose to ignore, and by countless letters and phone calls to you from them.
Unfortunately you have chosen to take the lowest and most irresponsible road: COVER-UP AND WHITEWASH! Now that some prisoners are depriving themselves of water as well as of food, this situation is entering a very dangerous stage. It is well known that depriving the body of water results in rapid and often irreversible and life-threatening deterioration.
This is not rocket science, Ms. Carter. By simply doing the job which we are paying you for you can end this matter swiftly: by stopping the illegal and irresponsible behavior of a handful of your employees.
We will accept nothing less.

As a paramedic, I often see the results of the kinds of abuse these prisoners are suffering. It is not an exageration, and it happens all the time. CUS Delong and the superintendant should be subjected to the same treatment if they consider this right and
