The City of Estevan is considering establishing a Dangerous Dog Bylaw. Should specific breeds of dogs such as Pit Bulls or Rotweillers be banned?
We feel that responsible pet owners should not be punished for the negligence of some. Dont punish the dogs, if they are mistreated, they learn to mistreat. If dogs are raised with care and compassion, they will learn respect for others.
There has to be more options, such as mandatory training for these breeds or heftier fines for owners whose dogs get lose more often than not, which City Hall needs to address.

The public is NOT made safer by restricting specific breeds of dogs. Restrict dangerous dogs based on behaviour. Make owners responsible for their dog's actions.
