To: ABCs Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
This petition is to nominate Taylor and Luke, parents to Annie, Jaxon, and twins Cooper and Tyson for an Extreme Home Makeover. On August 23, 2006, Cooper and Tyson were born at 27 weeks and 5 days gestational age after being diagnosed with Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome. Cooper weighed 3 lbs, and was only 14 inches long. Tyson weighed in at 1.68 lbs and was 11 inches long. After 54 days Cooper was released from the hospital, leaving his identical twin brother behind. Since then, little Tyson has been home twice, only to return to the hospital both times. He was diagnosed with BPD, a life threatening condition which includes scarring and inflammation in the lungs. He has been put on a ventilator and will soon undergo surgeries to place a trach, a g-tube and nissen band. It is possible that little Ty will be able to come home in the next 2 or 3 months, but even then, small things can be extremely dangerous. The common cold could be fatal, as could many other things. Tyson is missed at home by his brothers and sister. By signing this petition, you could help keep him home this time!
Not only could an Extreme Home Makeover give Tyson and Cooper a safe home to grow and thrive in, it also gives back to the whole family. They deserve it! This family has given so much to us- the Faith that through God, anything is possible!
