This petition is to be signed in those who feel a "youth" or "development" wage is unacceptable. this is often BELOW national minimum wage.
this law in ittself is AGE DISCRIMINATION in the eyes of many as you are being paid less to do the SAME work.
a recent law has been passed to make it illegal to REFUSE employment to someone on the basis of them "being too old" it is also now unlawful to force a retirment again for being too old.
the youth rate clearly discriminates and this is going against any age discrimination thoughts.
particularly exploited persons are students aged typically 18-22 who fall into this "youth" bracket. student costs and general living costs are going up. eqality is what needs to be promoted, a load of bread will not cost less for an under 22 year old.
this enables companies to use students as cheaper labour.
