Over 300 soccer players that are affiliated with the Burke Soccer Association & the City of Morganton's Recreation Department ask that the local government finish what the started. With the loss of the Old Morganton Junior High Stadium, that the City of Morganton has sold the Burke Soccer Association does not have a facility to accomdate soccer that they are allowed to use for practice.
The pinacle for soccer in Morganton has been placed on the backburner of local sports for reasons unknown. We strongly encourage that the City of Morganton finish what they promised to finish years ago... the Catawba River Soccer Complex
