Having recently completed building works for a home owner in the UK on a new dwelling we were surprised to find that such works are zero rated for Vat.
To help boost the green construction sector we should Zero rate the Vat on Passive Houses and the Better Energy Home Scheme for home energy upgrades providing a much needed stimulus to the construction sector whilst reducing our country’s CO2 emissions and keeping people in work.
In looking to boost sustainability and increase jobs in the green construction sector we would ask you to sign this petition for submission to the Department.
