Re: Reference Case # U7-2010 (Planning Commission)

Project Owner: Poonkinney Ranches, Inc.; Stephen Evans-Freke

Project Applicant: Grist Creek Aggregates- owned by Brian Hurt and Stephen Evans-Freke

We strongly encourage the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors to require that an Environmental Impact Report be done on the Grist Creek Aggregate OPEN PIT GRAVEL MINING project planned for in Round Valley, Covelo, CA. Due to inaccurate or unanswered questions regarding disruption of wildlife habitat; traffic/road maintenance; water quality and quantity; noise and air pollution, we feel that to ensure a healthy public, healthy water, and healthy environment an Environmental Impact Report must be undertaken.
