PETITION TO GOVERNOR SONNY PERDUE
The undersigned concerned citizens of the state of Georgia request that Governor Sonny Perdue enact an immediate moratorium on the Care Maintenance Organizations (AmeriGroup, Peach State, and WellCare, also known as CMOs) by executive order or by other legal means to suspend all activities of the CMOs in the state until such time as they are fully able to comply with their contractual obligations to patients, providers, hospitals, taxpayers, and the state of Georgia. In doing so, it will enable hospitals and providers to continue to deliver quality healthcare to the citizens of Georgia. The undersigned are voting citizens of Georgia and others concerned about the health of children, the elderly, pregnant moms, and sick people of Georgia and across the United States of America.

The Medicaid CMO situation is chaos. To say that it is 'working' is just not true. Contracts are delayed, authorizations and payments are not forthcoming. Medical providers will be forced to decline to see Medicaid patients.
