Implementation of Citizenship in eRepublik

We, the undersigned, find the common act of political takeovers the least enjoyable part of the game, and would like to see some sort of citizenship module or anti-takeover measures implemented in the game.
Citizenship could consist of choosing a nationality and having to stay with that nationality for a set period of time. You could only vote in elections for the country of your nationality. You could pay 2 gold to immediately change your nationality if desired. This would make takeovers too time consuming and costly to be a viable option.
The following are just a few alternative suggestions for how citizenship could work.

I agree that political take overs are a bad part of the game that should be controlled better. The suggestions in this petition are a first step towards making the game better.
