Justice for Baby P

We the British public, demand a drastic change in the way children are being protected in this country. A turn a blind eye attitude, too much hassle to step in and take "at risk" children away from there natural parents, has caused the deaths of too many innocent children.

Social workers, police, officials are blaming eatchother. This is simply not good enough. People need to be held accountable, stong sentances need to be given to those who inflicted such horrific torture on an innocent baby. Furthermore Baby P's mother or the men involved should never be allowed to have another child in their lifetime or be released from jail.

I am shocked an appalled at the attitude of social services, who send in carers upto four times a day to feed children and get them washed due to the parents not being capable. At this point the children should be removed and placed in a safe enviroment. A three strike policy should be enforced.

"Despite 60 visits to the youngster nobody from the council thought that the injuries were severe enough for him to be removed from the family.

They did give the baby to a family friend but this decision was also criticised by police. An officer said: "How can you give a baby to a family friend. For all we knew that friend may have been involved in any abuse or maybe the friend was scared of the mother and would not say anything detrimental about her.

"We wanted that baby taken into care but we were over-ruled by the council."

This has to be the last child ever let down by our current inefficient system.
