Liberty in Lorien

We, the undersigned as players of ElendorMUSH in Lorien declare with understanding that being an admin is almost always a thankless task, and that it is often frought with hard and unpopular decisions, but that these considerations are not enough to negate our vehement feelings, the following:

That the current +ruler has proven incapable of handling the responsibility of leadership.

That the LA body has failed in it's duty to provide for the players an enjoyable environment for roleplay, where creativity is allowed to flourish.

That the LA body of Lorien has time and time again taken steps which are in violation of MUSH wide policy (i.e. NEWS RELEVANCE)

That the LA body has time and time again been guilty of victimising players, of making accusations for which they refuse to produce evidence, of fabricating claims that would ordinarily require an LA investigation and of abusing their powers while eschewing the responsibilites that these same powers have been granted to fufill.

That the LA body has repeatedly altered theme in violation of the establish canon sources.

That as a direct result of this administrations decisions, Lorien's RP has ceased to exist and the situation has escalated to the point where wide and public debate on the means by which this adminstration can be removed is a frequent occurance, and this petition has been formed.


In an effort to return Lorien to what was once the largest and most enjoyed culture on the MUSH, we demand the following:

That the current LA body be removed from governership of Lorien

That the current the current theme of Lorien be examined and revised to fit with the canon sources rather than the changes which have been artbitarily made to enable certain persons to do as they will while crushing the thematic attempts of others to RP.

That a new LA body be selected based on their knowledge of accurate theme, abilities as neogocatiors and mediators and commitment to the benefit of the culture over one or two individuals.

That the disciplinary decisions made by the current LA body be reviewed in full, with the MUSH wide policies previously ignored included in the consideration and ammendments be made as appropriate.

That the players who have the powers of +train and +teach be required under penalty of loss, to make an effort to use these abilities, instead of hording them and avoiding RP with all but their closest friends.
