As concerned residents, ratepayers and regular patrons of Mrs Top Restaurant Neutral Bay, we are distressed to hear that a demolition order is being sought to remove the two awnings covering the rear courtyard of the restaurant.
The two retractable awnings provide for shade and some protection from the elements when necessary. To enforce their removal could irreparably damage the viability of the business, and deprive local ratepayers of a favourite restaurant and a desirable amenity.
I fully support their application to successfully have a permit issued for the awnings and will closely follow the progress.
