Organ Donation - Saving Lives

Currently there are around 100,000 people nationwide waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. Every 14 minutes a new name is added to the list and everyday 15-17 people will die waiting for a match. One person has the potential to provide organs, tissue, and bone to 50 people.

So why is there still such a shortage?

One reason is the process required for becoming a donor. Kentucky has simplified the process by allowing citizens to register while renewing their drivers license. However, it remains a voluntary process. By requiring each individual to check either yes or no at the time they renew their drivers license, we have the potential to increase organ donation significantly.

Help save more lives by signing this petition which will be sent to Congress in an attempt to change the organ donation registry process in Kentucky.
