Hello,
We the undersigned petitioners are awestruck and abundantly happy to hear about Google's recent addition of 1 GB Gmail email and Orkut.Com social networking services. You have provided us with a search engine of advanced capabilities making its the worlds most favourite search engine. You have also changed the advertising method with the introduction of AdWord text ads and AdSense subscription.
However we are quite dismayed because we are not able to sign up for Gmail or Orkut unless a member sends an invitation. This has resulted in un-natural demand for your services which is meant to be free of cost to the user. Some enterprising people have even gone to the extent of auctioning of Gmail and Orkut invitations on Ebay.
We can understand that the beta testing may not be over and it may be the reason for not offering to the public. The majority of your fans are upset because of rumours that Google may start charging a high fee for membership.
Therefore we request you to immediately allow the public to sign up for both Gmail and Orkut services or announce the date by which it will be made public.
Lastly there is an increasing concern about invasion of privacy by Google in the Gmail accounts. Hence we also petition you to provide an ads free full privacy assured email account as an option.
