Owner ‘Gino Ferrairolo’ of new restaurant ‘Ferraiolo’ in Sefton Park, Liverpool, propose to obtain a license to sell alcohol. In 2010 Sefton park received a restoration of £7 million, Liverpool City Council put £2.3million into this, the rest was funded by National Lottery Grant. In our opinion this money was well spent, Sefton Park is a lovely public place, its well maintained and reasonably safe.
If the owner of the new restaurant obtains an alcohol license, Sefton Park and the local community will change for the worse. There will be drunk people walking around a place where children play as the restaurant is opposite a childrens play ground. The restaurant will be open until 10pm so dark nights in and around the park could become more of a risk to walk around. People who have had too much to drink may become destructive within the park, ruining what is now a scenic place and home to a lot of wildlife. This will also be wasting the £2.3million restoration that Liverpool city council put into the park as well as tax payers money!
Liverpool City Council should completely reject Gino Ferrairolo’s proposal for a Licence to sell alcohol within this park.
