Petition to Serbian Government

Serbian Parliament has written a new law which allows citizens of Serbia to claim their right to stocks in previously government-owned organizations as a part of privatization of public goods towards the private capital. Unfortunately, the procedure for the execution of the law written by the Ministry for Privatization was written in such a manner to disable citizens of Serbia who live abroad to execute their right to these stocks.









This inequality was ensured by requiring the citizens of Serbia in the foreigh countires to register in person in the Serbian Embassy with valid resident cards foro Serbia.









The problem is as follows:









Citizens of Serbia who live abroad are residents of the host country and therefore automatically do not have a valid residency card for Serbia, and asking them to provide such document over a passport is illogical.









The Serbian Embassies are often located far away from people's homes and some people are not in a financial position to travel to the main embassy. This requirement stands even though there are valid notaries and consulates in the proximity to people's homes.









By signing this petition, we are asking the government of Serbia to rationally and logically resolve the execution of this law, and enable its citizens who live abroad to claim their right for stocks in Serbia.









Vlada Srbije je donela zakon da svi drzavljani Srbije imaju prava na novcanu nadoknadu i besplatne akcije. Nazalost svi drzavljani sa boravistem van zemlje Srbije su onemoguceni da svoje pravo iskoriste, a to je osigurano na sledeci nacin:









Ministarstvo za Privatizaciju zemlje Srbije zahteva od drzavljana Srbije u Instranstvu da se pojave licno sa vazecom licnom kartom u ambasadi Srbije, kod jedinog ovlascenog coveka/zene za tu zemlju.









Problemi su sledeci:




Gradani Srbije koji ne zive u Srbiji nemaju vazece licne karte, jer je to lokalni document za ljude sa boravistem u Srbiji. VAlidan dokument za drzavljane u inostranstvu je pasos, koji se u ovom slucaju ne prihvata.









Ambasade Srbije su cesto miljama udaljene od stanovnika, sto zahteva velike troskove i time onemogucava ljude koji nemaju sredstava za putovanje da se licno pojave u ambasadi na upisivanje u spiskove. Ovo se zahteva u svim zemljama koje imaju vazecih konsulata i notare na prikladnijim lokacijama.









Potpisivanjem ove peticije se moli vlada Srbije da na racionalan i logican nacin omoguci svoje drzavljanje koje zive u inostanstvu da ostvare svoje pravo za dobijenje akcija.
