The reason for this petition is in memory of our beloved son, brother, nephew, and best friend who was recently killed in a tragic car accident on the way to school on March 26th, 2009 at the intersection of Eskie Dixon and Watts Hill Road. We are grieving our loss of a great person by begging the correct officials to do somemthing about this high-risk intersection and others in near by areas that may affect our children and their friends and family. Alex was the eighth person to die at this intersection in a five year period.. We urge you to not wait until the next death, or even the death after that, to hear us and do something about this problem. Also in the vehicle wass his sister Elizabeth Fowler, who currently suffers from broken ribs and a broken hipbone, keeping her homebound.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to save lives by bettering the high-risk intersections in the area. Senator Lourie has alreaady taken steps to have the intersection reviewed and SCDOT has agreed that 48 inch STOP Signs on both sides of the roads will be placed there soon. We want this to be a 4-way STOP with Red-Lights similar to the ones located at Wildwood Lane and Sessions Road. PLEASE HELP US SAVE THE LIVES OF OUR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND OF OUR COMMUNITY!
