Pokemon - Save The Dub 2006

Dear Pokйmon USA,

It has come to the attention of the Pokйmon show/anime fans that you, Pokйmon USA, have now taken over the rights to the show. What's bad is that you have, from what we've heard, decided to cut the current voice actors and simply get sound-alikes, at best.

We as the fans find this very upsetting, especially those who have been with the show since the very beginning. We've all come accustomed to the current voices, and have grown to love them. Who could ever forget James' hysterically funny laugh, or Ash's sweet, yet strong voice?

But what's worse is the fact that you're getting rid of the dedicated actors who have stuck with the show since the beginning and have been the ones who have made it what it is today. In recent letters from two of the main voice actors, Veronica Taylor (Ash & May, etc) and Eric Stuart (Brock & James, etc) have both stated how they have been deeply hurt by this. After all these years, Pokйmon has understandibly become a part of them, and then for the 10 year anniversary, you simply cut them without warning. How would you feel if something you love was suddenly snatched away from you forever, especially at a time of celebration for the franchise such as this?

We are simply asking that you please carefully rethink this whole plan of getting new voice actors. Hopefully you will find it in your hearts to not let money be an issue, but instead, do it for the people who have made Pokйmon what it is today.
