Quiero uni mi voz con aquellas que desean la puesta en circulacion de los DVD de la cuatro series de television de "El Gran Chaparral" - sin corte,
libre de comerciales, con todas los extras si es posible,y en varios idiomas, pero mayormente en Espan~ol y Portuguez, para el placer de los muchos fanaticos alrededor del mundo. El Gran Chaparral fue una serie extraordinaria en su trato de la cultura mejicana y de la influencia de la historia mejicana en el oeste americano. El dialogo, realismo y la cinematografia fueron excelentes. Fue muy popular en America del Sur, Central y en el Caribe. Mas de 80 actores latinos tuvieron papeles importantes y muchos otros tuvieron participacion. El Gran Chaparral fue una de las primeras series de television que presento actores latinos actuando en papeles de importancia y profundidad. Algunos de eso actores incluyen a Linda Cristal, Henry Darrow, Ricardo Montalban, Alejandro Rey, Fernando Lamas, Gilbert Roland, Miriam Colon, Rico Alaniz, Miguel Landa, Joaquin Martinez, Carlos Romero, Jorge Russek, Henry Silva, Frank Ramirez, and Victor Campos. Esta importante parte de la historia de la
television no puede se dejada al abandono y a mala modificacion que

I wish to add my voice to those encouraging the DVD release of all four seasons of the television series, The High Chaparral uncut, commercial-free, with extra features if possible, in several languages, but especially Spanish and Portuguese, for the enjoyment of the many fans around the world.

The High Chaparral was a ground-breaking series in its treatment of Mexican cultural issues and the influence of Mexican history on the American West. The writing, realism, and cinematography were superb. It was very popular in Central and South America. In the USA, where The High Chaparral was one of, if not the, first television show to regularly feature Latino actors playing Latino roles as fully developed characters of depth and substance, heroes and villains, rich and poor, and everything in-between. Those actors included Linda Cristal, Henry Darrow, Ricardo Montalban, Alejandro Rey, Fernando Lamas, Gilbert Roland, Miriam Colon, Rico Alaniz, Miguel Landa, Joaquin Martinez, Carlos Romero, Jorge Russek, Henry Silva, Frank Ramirez, and Victor Campos. In all more than 80 Latino actors had credited roles and many more were on screen in uncredited parts.

This important part of television history should not be lost to neglect and poor editing which often eliminates entire scenes, Please make The High Chaparral available again, restored and unedited, for new generations of viewers.
