Whereas, Senator Jim Webb and Senator Mark R. Warner during inauguration to the office of Senator of the United States in representation of the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia swore an oath to Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America,
Whereas, Senator Jim Webb and Senator Mark R. Warner have supported legislation that is in violation of the U.S. Constitution, specifically, they have voted in favor of legislation that grants powers to the federal government not enumerated in the U.S. Constitution, specifically, Senator Jim Webb and Senator Mark R. Warner have voted in favor of TARP(Troubled Asset Recovery Program), Company Bailouts, and Nationalized Healthcare,
Whereas, Senator Jim Webb and Senator Mark R. Warner have voted in favor of Ex Post Facto Laws prohibited by the Constitution, namely, taking bonuses from individuals employed by private companies, and
Whereas, the 17th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution has placed the U.S. Senators beyond the reach and influence of the Legislature of the Commonwealth of Virginia,
Therefore, Be It Resolved that, We, the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia signed hereunder, do hereby demand that U.S. Senator Jim Webb and Senator Mark R. Warner be removed from the office of United States Senator for violation of their oaths of office to Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
