Recognizing Stars Star

When you think of the noun Faith, you think of someone who has strong beliefs. When you hear the name Faith Hill, you think of multi-platinum Country Music Superstar. Sure, the definition fits but there are so much more then a voice and a Cover Girl image.

Need a little remind just who Faith is? : In late 1992 Faith hit radio hard with her debut single Wild One. It climbed to the top of the charts as did many of her singles to follow. Including her monster hits Its Your Love with Tim McGraw (1997), This Kiss (1998), Breathe (1999), Lets Make Love with Tim McGraw (2000) and When the Lights Go Down (2002). Faith has earned a multitude of Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association awards alike as well as American Music Awards and the music industry prestige Grammys.

As I said, there is much more to Faith then her ability to make and sell great music. She is a woman of love, passion and kindness. A-woman whose heart and soul is more unique then her platinum records.

In 1995, Faith got involved with the Tennessee Baptist Children Homes. Where she makes sure the children in this non-government-funded program, gets everything a child needs to grow, including love. To this day, Faith is very active within the charity and will be forever cherished by each childs life she has touched by her unmarked generosity. Since 1996, Faith has been involved with husband Tim McGraws charity to benefit youth sports in his hometown of Rayville, Louisiana. Each year Faith and Tim amongst other celebrities go to the tiny town to have a softball game and concert. 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2004, Faith has preformed and donated to the Andre Aggasi Grand Slam for Children benefit.

1999, Faith was slated to headline her first tour. Something else had Faith smiling, she was about to launch The Faith Hill Family Literacy project.


That is just a small taste of all the wonderful charity work Faith has done. Now, after all her amazing accomplishments, dont you, think Faith deserves something in return?

Her hometown is Star, Mississippi, a tiny town a few miles away from the city of Jackson. Unlike many celebrities of past and present Faiths hometown has never acknowledged her. This petition is to help get Rankin or Hinds County to show they are proud of their star, Faith Hill. We are asking for:

A `home of`` billboard
Piece of a road renamed after Faith
Key to the city of Jackson (Faith lived in Jackson until age 7)
An arena or arts center renamed after Faith



As Faith dreamed and found out anything is possible . . .
