Release Geresu and other Oromo Students

Your Excellency,
We, Oromo nationals who are residing in different part of the world, convey our heartfelt greeting to you and the people of Eritrea. Before we enter to the issue, we would like to express our deep appreciation and respect to Eritrean people in general and Eritrean martyrs in particular who have paid maximum scarifies so that Eritrea joined the family of free nations. Our honor to Eritrea martyrs who have paid unparalleled sacrifices self reliantly is virtually endless. As Eritrean liberation is the part of universal emancipation of humanity in general, we had been supporting it during the bitter liberation struggle and we still supporting
the Eritrean government and people struggle against any sort of direct or injustice against all evil power of the world. At the same time we would like to express our deep gratitude to Eritrean people in general and Eritrean government in particular for generosity toward our liberation struggle. We are so optimist that the longstanding and cozy friendship between people of Oromo and Eritrean would grow more too strategic partnership for influencing the whole region into sustainable peace, development and stability.

In this petition we would like to bring attention about the following Oromo nationals currently
staying in Asmara Eritrea. These are

Damaka Nagasa Kube
Dassu Dula Gashe

Geresu Tufa Gulama
Those Oromo nationals whose name mentioned above had been contributing a lot to the on going Oromo national struggle while most of them working as journalist at home. Some of them were active in Oromo student movement against in justice inflicted by TPLF led Ethiopian government which finally forced them to leave their home land. As you might have information these Oromo nationals have come to your country to contribute their part to Oromo national cause with OLF. They had been working with OLF and ORA (Oromo Relief Associations) and contributed their part. In the mean time, however, misunderstandings have been occurred with OLF leadership and they couldnt continue. We have come to know that also they have difficulties to leave Eritrea and join their compatriots. Oromo nationals residing in different part of the world and at home are very concerned about this issue as it so sensitive and potentially bad on longstanding mutual understanding of the two people. It would create confusion and skepticism which could be so harmful for the future relationship of the two peoples. Thus, we have been trying to consult with OLF leadership on different occasion including chairman of OLF Mr.Dawud Ibsa .Nevertheless, they have been expressing that they dont have any influence on this matter except your government. Thats why we have decided to send this petition to your good office. Hence would like to ask you courteously to reconsider the situation and let them free.
