Repeal or Change Floridas Clean Indoor Air Act

This petition will be presented to Governor Jeb Bush and members of the Florida State Congress. We ask that Florida State Legislators repeal in whole or in part recent additions to the Florida Clean Indoor Air Act, specifically the smoking ban implemented on July 1, 2003. It is our assertion that the public ban on smoking is unconstitutional, invades the rights of private business owners, and has become a drain on the economy. The intent of this petition is to either repeal the smoking ban or to rewrite it to include the following text.





Any establishment that wishes to include designated smoking sections will be permitted under the following guidelines. Proper ventilation and air purification must be installed in order to bring the quality of the air in the establishment to meet ETA standards for safe and breathable air.
