Reroute The 145 Bus

We hereby call on Arriva buses and Medway Council to reroute the 145 (and 135) bus service so that it no longer proceeds along Catherine Street following the tragic incident that occurred on the evening of Friday 3rd April 2009.
This street is far too narrow to have regular buses running along it, with cars parked on both sides giving restricted views to drivers. We believe that unless the 145 (and 135) is rerouted then it is only a matter of time before another such incident takes place.
We believe it would be better for the buses to be rerouted along St Williams Way, turning down Jasper Avenue and left into Weller Avenue where the road is wider. This is a far safer option.
We hereby call on both Arriva buses and Medway Council to work together in an expedient manner to ensure this happens sooner rather than later.
