Restoration of invite codes for LiveJournal.com

On the 12th of December 2003 the maintainers of the online blogging service http://www.livejournal.com discontinued the use of 'Invite Codes'. These codes were given to exsisting members as a reward for supporting the site and could be used to invite new members to LiveJournal. As seen since the discontinuation of the codes this proved to be detrimental to it's users and as a result we have seen poor site service and an increase in abuse through both 'troll' accounts and spam. As a form of protest we have signed this petition and wish to see the invite codes reinstated to the LiveJournal member system.
