Restore Our Rights At Lakeview Memorial Park

There have been changes made at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ that affects our loved ones!!
Regretfully the officials at Lakeview Memorial Park have made several changes to the cemetery rules during the summer of 2008. It began with changes requiring those having wooden benches to remove them by September 2008. This was disappointing but it is understandable this could be a safety concern and I support the management at the park in this decision.
However in early September 2006 the Trustees at Lakeview have made another change one that has ripped the hearts out of many families that have loved ones at Lakeview Memorial Park. The officials decided to eliminate standing agreements that allowed families and friends to place items at their loved ones sites without consideration. The new rules now only allow us to place a flag and a single cone of real flowers at the grave site. From April 1 though October 31 we are no longer allowed to place pictures, balloons, statues of any kind, personal items or anything at all at the grave. No longer can you bring fresh flowers to lay on the ground, a birthday gift or mementos of any kind.
The new rules are cold and heartless and provide no comfort to the hundreds of families that are part of the Lakeview Memorial Park. So many families are in a state of shock and anger over these changes. None are able to understand why this was necessary. We have approached the Trustees asking them to reconsider these changes but they are unwilling to seriously entertain these requests. The Trustees suggested a public area where things could be piled up in memory of our loved ones; naturally this is of little comfort. It is quite apparent the Trustees have no interest and little understanding of what matters to the parents, family and friends of those placed at Lakeview.
Those responsible for these changes are known as the Board of Trustees at the Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. This group of individuals decided without consideration of those affected to eliminate agreements extended by longtime management of the facility. They will not listen to our group of families asking to rescind the changes so we are now seeking to apply broader pressure. This group of Trustees must be made to understand just how much this means to all of us.

The Demands of this petition
To this end we are seeking your assistance to help us show the Board of Trustees we want these rules changed. Several of us affected by these new rules have formed a group called The Lakeview Family, a group of family and friends of those laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Park. The Lakeview Family is demanding the Trustees rescind the recent changes to the rules and allow us to honor our loved ones as we feel they deserve, personally and respectfully.
This petition demands that the Board of Trustees at Lakeview Memorial Park remove the restrictions recently imposed at the cemetery. The undersigned demand the restoration of the right to place flowers, pictures and other personal items at respective grave sites. It is further demanded these rights be restored immediately and without prejudice to those seeking this action.
We the undersigned endorse the demands of this petition and stand in agreement with The Lakeview Family in demanding the restoration of these rights at the Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.
