We, the residents and business owners of the Crestwood Neighborhoods (North and South) by this petition request that City of Birmingham officials and Alabama Dept of Transportation officials suspend all actions to be taken against the Bradford Pear trees in the median along the section US Hwy 78 in Birmingham that is located within the Crestwood Neighborhood until a consensus and an acceptable landscape plan for replacing trees is reached in cooperation with both Crestwood North and Crestwood South Neighborhood Associations. The residents and business-owners of Crestwood are deeply concerned about the drastic change to the aesthetic value of our neighborhood the proposed tree removal would cause. We are confident you will allow our voices to be heard on this issue.
