ABC Entertainment should keep George Lopez on the air. George Lopez is a fantastic show. It gave an outlet for Latino-Americans, a group with very little visibility on television today. On a lighter note, it featured an outstanding ensemble cast and was enjoyable for people of all ages.
The ratings for this season should hold no bearing on its future, because ABC gave it little chance to live. It was put on late midseason, with 2 back-to-back episodes on Wednesdays, and then recently was moved to Tuesdays against the television giant American Idol. One could argue it was as if ABC was burning the show off. When will these television corporations figure out when to put quality sitcoms like these on TV!
George Lopez was a quality show, and to see it suffer like this just proves that television no longer sees quality as a necessary standard.
